Glad you asked! Visit our guide to sizing so you know how to select the right size in the garment you choose. All manufacturers size their products differently, so it is important to measure and check the size chart.
Great question! Many Scuba Sisters like to wear a swimsuit underneath so they can peel off their leggings and rashguard after diving or swimming and dry off comfortably. Sports bras or synthetic underwear also work great—just avoid cotton, which stays soggy.
Our leggings aren’t designed with a built-in full crotch panel, so while some feel fine going commando, others prefer a layer like swim bottoms or undies for comfort. The fabric isn’t see-through, but if you're feeling modest about body outlines, a layer underneath can help with that, too.If you're curious how things will look when wet, try everything on and hop in the shower—it's a great way to test out coverage, comfort, and what feels right for you before hitting the water.
Wear what feels good and keeps you ready for the next splash!
It is always best to wash in cold water with the garment turned inside out to protect the print and minimize any shrinking on cotton based fabrics. This applies to all our garments, including leggings and rash guards which can snag if washed with other clothes with rough edges such as zippers, velcro, etc.
Yes, the vast majority of garment styles are specifically for women. We do offer a few unisex options as these are preferred by some women and they offer a broad range of sizes. These are clearly marked with the word "unisex" in the title and within the product description.

Absolutely! Almost every style has at least size XXL. Many products come in 3X and 4X and you can use the product filter to find these. Our leggings come in sizes up to 6X.
It is a standard among the garment manufacturers to charge more for size XXL and up. This is to accommodate the additional fabric needed. We are not a big fan of this standard so we do not charge a markup beyond passing along the difference we must pay our vendors.
At Scuba Sisters, we aim to make thoughtful choices about how our products are produced, the materials we use, and the partners we work with.
Made at the Time of Order: Most of our products are made only after an order is placed rather than produced in large quantities ahead of time. This helps reduce unnecessary manufacturing and excess inventory while allowing us to offer women a broader range of ocean-inspired designs, products, and sizes. Instead of limiting choices to what happens to be sitting in a warehouse or the most popular sizes or designs, we can provide more options for different bodies, preferences, and adventures.
Recycled and Eco-conscious Materials: All of our leggings and rash guards are made with recycled fabric. Our packaging also includes mailers made with post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastics, helping reduce the use of new plastic materials.
Responsible Printing: Our printing partners use Oeko-Tex™ certified inks and production equipment designed to reduce water and energy use.
Ethical Partnerships: We work with suppliers that are expected to follow applicable labor laws and uphold standards for fair and humane working conditions. Our partners are also required to comply with policies prohibiting forced labor, human trafficking, and illegal employment practices.
These practices help us offer distinctive, size-inclusive apparel while making more responsible production choices.
